On the weekend of July 27-28, the Companions from California and Nevada got together in Reno to perform the Super Excellent Master Degree.

The degree has not been performed in Nevada in several years and California brought their ritual team to show the companions from Nevada how to put on the degree. Nevada hosted the visitors from California as they arrived for a full practice on Saturday. Several parts were filled in by companions from Nevada. Mark Harris, the Grand Director of Ritual for California did an excellent job of coordinating the practice with several companions from Nevada filling additional parts.

Saturday evening, a taco dinner was served to 60 companions and their wives. Sunday morning started with donuts and coffee before the degree conferral. The degree was performed in full costume for a class of 50, including the Grand Master of Masons in Nevada.

After the degree, the Most Illustrious Grand Masters from both Nevada and California gave remarks along with the Grand Master of Nevada. The cooperation between jurisdictions is an excellent example of Masonic brotherhood.
