Closing the Transparency Gap

We recognize that a “Transparency Gap” has long existed between the Royal Arch and the Cryptic Rite. Many Companions, upon completion of the Chapter, see the Council as an optional “add-on” rather than the essential conclusion to the Solomonic legend.

The Living Vault™ initiative changes that narrative. We are moving away from the passive acquisition of members and toward the active Stewardship of our Companions. The goal is simple: to ensure that once a Companion enters the Vault, he remains a celebrated and contributing member for the rest of his life.

A New Era of Engagement

The cornerstone of any successful initiative is ensuring the message reaches its audience. The days of passive engagement—waiting for members to seek out information—are behind us. We are moving to a “push” method of continuous communication, placing the tools and information directly into the hands of every member. We are not just making information available; we are delivering it.

The “Circle of Nine” and Relational Masonry

At the heart of this initiative is a return to “Relational Masonry.” We believe that retention is the byproduct of feeling seen, valued, and challenged. To achieve this, we are implementing the Circle of Nine—a support structure where officers maintain personal, monthly contact with small groups of Companions.

This isn’t about dues or business; it’s about the simple, brotherly question: “Is the Guard at his post?” It ensures that no Companion—whether a regular attendee or homebound—is ever forgotten by his Council.

Introducing the V.A.L.U.E. Matrix

How do we honor a lifetime of service? Through the new V.A.L.U.E. Matrix, we are standardizing how we recognize our members across five key pillars:

• Vitality: Celebrating the man through birthday and other recognition.
• Anniversary: Honoring the date you were Greeted into the Vault and milestones achieved.
• Labor: Rewarding ritual and leadership excellence through structured recognition programs.
• Understanding: Promoting “Light from the Secret Vault” through educational achievement.
• Esteem: Celebrating personal life milestones, from retirements to community awards and more.

Education and Enlightenment: The Preservation Labs

We have moved past the era of “guessing” what members want to learn. Through our new Preservation Labs, we are offering a series of targeted training modules, including:

• Officer-Specific Training: Specialized modules for Marshals, Recorders, Treasurers, and more.
• Leadership Development: Whether newly Elected, newly Greeted, or in between, modules are offered to enhance and improve your experience!
• Esoteric & Ritualistic Sessions: Deep-dives for those looking to polish their skills and enlighten their minds.
