It has been said the journey of 100 miles begins with one step. We reached, and exceeded, our goal of raising $50,000 by April 1, 2021. Thank you to all who participate in helping us along the way. We still have the year-end goal of $500,000 to reach. Let us set additional milestones to reach toward the end of our journey.

July 1 is halfway through the year. Can we reach a total giving of $250,000 by July 1? That will be halfway to our goal. This would mean we need to raise approximately $100,000 in the next six weeks. Can we exceed this amount? I for one feel confident our combined efforts will put us there.

Remember as you order your Summer supplies on Amazon to participate in the Amazon Smiles Charity program. Picking up picnic supplies at Kroger stores, sign up for their charitable giving program. Every little bit will help us reach our goal.

At the General Grand Council meeting in Minneapolis in August, we will have a CMMRF program on Friday, August 13. There are planned speakers on Fundraising, and a presentation by Dr. Murphy, the CMMRF Chair in Vascular Research at Indiana University. Hopefully, we will be able to announce a new aspect to our partnership with IU to further the research efforts of Dr. Murphy.
