Ernest Ivan Teter was born August 17, 1928, and died in Nampa, Idaho, on August 11, 2021.

MIC Ernie served in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. He successfully completed a career in the service of his country.

Ernie was a member of Capital City Lodge #93 of the Grand Lodge of Idaho A.F.&A.M. in Boise, Idaho. MIC Ernie became a Royal Arch Mason on April 24, 1975, a Select Master on April 24, 1975, and a Knight Templar on April 26, 1975. He served the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons as Grand High Priest in 1993-94, the Grand Council of Idaho as Illustrious Grand Master in 1996-97, and the Grand Commandery of Idaho in 1991-92. He served the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the United States of America as the Northwest Department Commander from 1994 to 1997 and Chairman of the College of Honors. He was a member of St Michael Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine, and a Past Sovereign. Also, he was a member of Redemption Tabernacle No XL, Holy Royal Arch Templar Priests, and Past Preceptor and Knight Commander.
