Celebrated annually on every Tuesday after Thanksgiving, The National Day of Giving is dedicated to encouraging giving among people and organizations to their communities to make the world a better place. Started in 2012, also known as Giving Tuesday, has inspired hundreds of millions of people to celebrate giving.

Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation as a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post – Thanksgiving season. As the largest single day for donations, Giving Tuesday is a huge boost for charitable organizations. In 2019, non – profits raised $511 million on this one day!

The Cryptic Masons Medical Research Foundation is the charity of Cryptic Masons. CMMRF funds stem cell research at the Indiana University Center for Vascular Medicine. This includes research in heart disease, diabetes, aortic aneurysm and wound healing. In the area of wound healing, by injecting stem cells, in clinical trials, they have been 96% successful in preventing amputations. As one of the most expensive medical procedures, this research is gaining national attention.

Donations by CMMRF provide “seed” money to fund preliminary research. This research facilitates the application for grants and additional funding from government and private agencies totaling 7 – 10 times the amount of the CMMRF grant. In other words, for every $100 donation by CMMRF results in $700 - $1,000 for research.

This Thanksgiving, as you gather with family, and friends, and count your blessings. Please consider a donation to the Cryptic Masons Medical Research Foundation. The benefits are exponential.
